Parenting a child with neurological challenges can be overwhelming, frustrating, and isolating. Many parents struggle to find a doctor who listens and understands what they’re going through and to find effective solutions that align with their values and beliefs without resorting to medications or therapies that come with unwanted side effects.
That’s where our workshop comes in. Taught by leading expert Dr. Michael Kehoe, this workshop will help you uncover the truth about the “Perfect Storm” our children are put through in today’s medical system and toxic, stressful world and empower you with the knowledge, tools, and drug-free strategies to support your child’s unique needs and help them thrive!
Dear Parents,
What if all of the common neurological challenges our kids are facing today first started brewing many years ago? What if kids don't really "grow out of" colic, constipation, chronic ear infections, and other early childhood challenges like you were told? What if there has been a "Perfect Storm 🌪" brewing with their nervous system ever since they were born 👶 ?
10 years ago Dr. Michael Kehoe discovered a missing link to all of these challenges that still today is entirely overlooked and missed by the traditional medical system, and occurs in well over 80% of kids with autism, ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing disorder, and other neurodevelopmental challenges in kids.
In this workshop you'll learn:
Learn how the true root cause of these challenges goes beyond genetics, gut health, motor tone and coordination, diet changes, and detoxes and really resides within the central and autonomic nervous system
Incorporate natural, drug-free approaches to help your child’s nervous system relax, unwind, and get back on track developmentally
Build a network of support and community with other parents and providers who understand your journey and will help you navigate through the storm
If you've tried it all and your child is still in a tough spot, this workshop is for you!
Come have your hope restored, and your questions answered, and get the drug-free 💊 help you've been searching for!
From Diego and Brandan's parents:
For Diego due to his severe autism diagnosis, I was seeking in how to help his body with his nervous system due being non-verbal, stimming a lot, as it is difficult to figure out things with him when he cannot communicate to express if he is in pain or what is bothering him. In reference with school it was always a period of time during the school year that we would get reports about his behavior in scratching, biting and not able to regulate himself.
Diego has experienced to be more relaxed, displays more eye contact and an increased willingness to be social in his own capacity. Diego’s behavior challenges have decreased since starting chiropractic care. I have received reports of positive improvements and if he is having a bad day, he can be easily be redirected. Also, Diego is not potty-trained and we recently have seen him start the initiative in using the bathroom (pee) on his own without being prompted.

Brandon is on the spectrum as well but at a higher function level had his challenges. The reason I inquired about chiropractic care was due to Brandon’s hyperactivity, lack of focus and no increase on his speech. Also as time has progressed, suddenly there was a change in his behavior. It was for months that I was getting reports on his non-compliance, throwing things, verbal protests, and running away from staff. A BIP – Behavior Intervention Plan was implemented to help him out but difficulties in the beginning to engage him.
Currently, Brandon has experienced to be more focused, calmer, improvements with motor skills, increase in language development and social skills. The biggest change with Brandon was with his behavior as he has made strides and improvements in this area. During his IEP in November 2021 a new social worker was observing Brandon as she was guiding herself on the last BIP that was done prior to the pandemic. During the IEP it was expressed that the kid on the BIP report was not the same when she did her observations. The entire IEP team expressed similar comments in that his behavior has improved. He continues to have good cooperation with his peers in the classroom and with his other teachers. If Brandon continues on this path and maintains his behavior the goal is to remove his BIP as it would not be needed.

"We brought Ryan into Health From Within mainly for behavioral issues. Ryan was having constant tantrums that I truly felt were beyond what is considered “normal” for a 2 year old. He was also diagnosed with a speech delay which was making communication very difficult. His tantrums were triggered by absolutely anything, lasted a long time and sometimes so severe that he would hit his head against walls. At that point I was desperate for help because his pediatrician said he was in good health overall. I read several books, took classes online, asked friends and family for advice but nothing seemed to help. That’s when I had the idea to look into chiropractic care. I reached out to a chiropractic office for a consultation. They said they would be happy to accept Ryan as a patient but they also were willing to offer a referral for someone who could potentially help us achieve "great results" because of his specialty in pediatric care. I was told they have referred several families to Dr Kehoe and heard many success stories so I didn't hesitate to call and schedule an appointment.
After just a few weeks, I started to notice that Ryan was having less tantrums and they were shorter in duration. He still has tantrums because, well, he's a 2 year old. However, as time passed, I kept seeing more and more improvement. Ryan was able to recover from tantrums on his own which he was never able to do before. His overall demeanor was becoming more calm and cooperative. He was also able to focus more which was hugely beneficial when we enrolled him in speech therapy. He was able to participate in sessions that had been very difficult before he started receiving chiropractic care.
If you’re considering chiropractic care for your child, do it! I was hesitant at first because I was afraid that Ryan would be uncooperative or throw tantrums in the office. That did happen initially but Dr Kehoe is very understanding and his calm demeanor really seemed to help Ryan be comfortable in the office. He has come such a long way from where we started. In the beginning of treatment Ryan was scared to lay on the table and most of his adjustments were on the floor with a screen in hand. Fast forward to today Ryan will voluntarily jump up on the table and no longer needs a distraction to get through an adjustment. It has become part of his weekly routine that he seems to enjoy. I’m sure the fact that they have toys in the office doesn’t hurt. :) It’s a very warm and welcoming environment. I would also say that one of my favorite elements of Dr Kehoe's chiropractic care are the iNSiGHT scans because it allows you to see progress in real time. Dr Kehoe explains the results so well to help you understand issues and changes over time that correlate to improvements in behavior, sleep, etc. I am so grateful for Dr Kehoe and would HIGHLY recommend HFW to anyone seeking chiropractic care for children.

Ever wonder: "I don't think my child will actually let anyone adjust them"? Just ask Ari and his Mom!
I first learned about Dr. Kehoe’s chiropractic office, Health from Within, when I came across his practice while reading about him in an article that appeared in the Southland Your Times newspaper. As I read the article about Dr. Kehoe and his practice, I was drawn to his expertise and knowledge in providing chiropractic care to autistic patients. I read that Dr. Kehoe’s adjustments can alleviate stress on the nervous system of autistic patients. Thus, I was drawn to begin chiropractic care for my 4 year old autistic son, Ari. At first, Ari was very stand-offish toward Dr. Kehoe. Ari was a little intimidated and nervous about receiving adjustments from Dr. Kehoe. Ari was hesitant to let Dr. Kehoe touch him to adjust him. He would push Dr. Kehoe’s hands away. However, with time, Dr. Kehoe connected and bonded with Ari, and Ari began to trust him more. This has led to Ari looking forward to his adjustments. Now, Ari jumps on the table with excitement to receive his adjustments. Ari smiles and giggles with joy whenever he receives an adjustment from Dr. Kehoe.
Since Ari started receiving chiropractic care from Dr. Kehoe, I have noticed many changes in him that are worthy of sharing. Sometimes, Ari had difficulty sleeping throughout the night until morning. Now Ari’s sleep patterns are more consistent, and he no longer wakes up early in the wee hours of the morning like he used to. Ari used to get extremely sick where he would be congested for a prolonged period of time. Ari no longer gets sick as often, and when he does, his colds are short-lived. Also, Ari is sensitive to touch since he has sensory issues due to his autism. Now, Ari can tolerate getting a haircut, getting blood work done without a fuss, and wearing a hat on his head, among many other things. He would cry and make a big fuss for these tasks, but that is no longer the case. Furthermore, Ari has shown improvement with his receptive language by understanding more that is said to him. This is leading to Ari imitating actions more in his ABA therapy, speech, and OT sessions. He is gesturing more by pointing to what he wants. Ari’s expressive language is emerging as well. He is beginning to utter a few words like “go, more, and swing.” In addition, he is starting to repeat and mimic words that he hears spoken to him. In summary, Ari is more engaged and attentive than he was before received chiropractic care from Dr. Kehoe.
For mothers out there that are contemplating whether they should bring their child to Dr. Kehoe’s office, the choice is really simple. The benefits far outweigh any hesitation you may have in giving Dr. Kehoe a try. Dr. Kehoe is warm, kind, and patient, especially with his young patients. He truly goes and beyond to meet the needs of his patients.

This workshop takes place at 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 9th at Harvest Room - Palos Heights, conveniently located at 7164 W 127th St.

We'll show you case studies and share examples to help you get the answers you need as you're on this journey.
No. In fact, this is designed to be a 90 minute, 💯 educational workshop where we hope you walk away knowing more about options you have as a parent.
It's becoming harder and harder to find drug-free and safe options out there for our kiddos.
And if we get the chance to help your family get to the other side of the Perfect Storm and provide you with hope, then we'll be here for you.
